We are currently looking to fill the permanent, full time role of Senior Software Developer (Blackberry) in our downtown Vancouver (Gastown) offices.

We are looking for talented and experienced Java developers with specific Blackberry development experience to join our team. As a software developer at Atimi, you will have the opportunity to work on various challenging and exciting projects in the Blackberry mobile sphere.

Reports to: Developer Lead, Senior Developer Lead

Works with: Developers, QA, Sales, Clients

A successful applicant must:

• Have a strong history of Blackberry-specific software development (Java)
• Have successfully designed, implemented, and shipped Blackberry applications to the BBWorld online store
• Be adept providing consistent time estimates for development tasks
• Have a proven history of success meeting development deadlines (based on your own estimates)
• Be comfortable interacting directly with clients

User Interface Designer

We are currently looking to fill the permanent, full time role of User Interface Designer in our downtown Vancouver (Gastown) offices.

We are looking for a versatile mind who can take a vague design idea for an application, ask the right questions of the right people, and flesh it out within a limited timeframe and with few iterations. A User Interface Designer at Atimi is an integral part of the path to our projects’ success, and is active throughout a project’s lifecycle. At Atimi you will see your ideas go from rough sketches to fully realized applications. Your input will be valued and your expertise lauded.

Ideally, we want someone with training and/or relevant experience in User Interface (UI) Design; however, a strong portfolio with many good examples of effective UI design on multiple platforms may suffice.

Reports to: User Interface Design Lead, VP of Sales and Marketing

Works with: User Interface Design Lead, Sales and Marketing team, Project Lead, Project Manager, Client stakeholders

A successful applicant must:

• Take direction well, from both creative and non-creative stakeholders/team members
• Have knowledge of UI design principles
• Have a proven history of efficient work practices (complete tasks quickly)
• Love deadlines
• Have a versatile range of design styles and/or the ability to mimic styles

• Be comfortable designing multiple disparate styles in tandem for a single project
• Have a proven history of success working on multiple projects at once

Responsibilities:

• Assists Graphic Design Lead with the conceptualization and production of:

iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, Blackberry, Android, and Windows Phone 7 application UI OS X and Windows application UI
Mockups of design ideas during project requirements-gathering phase

• General Sales and Marketing materials
• Atimi’s Online look and feel

Qualifications:

• Expert in the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.)
• Passion for knowledge of emerging UI technology and trends
• Moderately technical; user-centric familiarity with Mac, PC, and mobile technologies
• Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Graphic Design (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• HTML/CSS experience a plus
• An understanding of, or experience with, the software development lifecycle a plus
• Experience working with highly technical teammates (like software developers) a plus
• Some experience with Xcode’s Interface Builder (or similar) a definite plus
