Atimi Finishes Cross-platform iPod Software
Vancouver, British Columbia, Nov. 3, 2005 - Atimi Software is pleased to announce that it has completed software development of an iPod Encryption/Playback/Transcription application compatible with both Windows and Mac.
"This was a great project for us," said Scott Michaels, Director of Professional Services, Atimi. "Using our cross platform development processes, we were able to deliver a product for both Windows and Macintosh at the same time, with very little variance in the user experience across the platforms. We are very pleased with the result, and the client is ecstatic."
Developing products based on the iPod represents several challenges to a development team. The rapid cycle of new iPod versions means a flexible back end to the software must be designed, to allow not only to support a growing number of iPod versions, but to make new releases of iPod hardware just work, with little or no action required by the user.
