With the NHL pre-season just around the corner, Atimi and Hockey fans alike are very excited for the September 20th start. This year fans of the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Blackhawks will be able to follow their favorite team and players through the teams’ official iPhone, Android, and BlackBerry apps developed by Atimi Software.

The official team apps of the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames are already available for iPhone, Android and BlackBerry, and have been hugely successful. The Chicago Blackhawks app, released in July for iOS and Android, hit the Top 10 of the free sports category of the App Store within days of release. While the Canucks app just hit 400,000 users, and the Flames app was featured by Apple one day after it launched.

The Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens’ apps will be available for the start of the regular season, along with the Chicago Blackhawks’ BlackBerry app. The new versions of the apps, also available for the start of the regular season, will see performance enhancements, and feature sets customized to each of the teams.

The addition of the Blackhawks, Senators and Canadiens to Atimi’s client roster comes on the heels of the success of the Atimi-developed Canucks and Flames mobile apps.  Accounting for these successes is Atimi’s Mobile Sports Framework, which allows Atimi to consistently create high-quality apps.

Details about Atimi’s Mobile Sports Framework:

  • The framework connects fans to their favorite team and to each other, while offering powerful team branding, fan engagement, and the potential for additional sponsorship revenue
  • Gives live updates of scores, stats, and standings throughout the game, as well as league and app exclusive team-generated content
  • Fans can purchase tickets to games, receive push notifications for game times, view an interactive stadium map, and flip through dynamic mobile player cards
  • Available for iOS, Android and BlackBerry and boasts over 600,000 users across the combined three platforms
