Apple adds Hockey apps category to Canadian App Store

Apple recently added a quick link on the Canadian App Store homepage to their new Hockey Apps category. Within the category, apps are further broken down into groups by; official team apps; video, news and stats apps; apps for coaches; and hockey gaming apps.

Among the thirteen official team apps listed in the Hockey Apps category, The Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, and Ottawa Senators were developed by Atimi Software. All five apps hit the Top 20 Free Sports Apps List in the Canadian and US App Stores regularly. The Blackhawks, Senators, and Canadiens, who just released their official apps for the 2011/2012 season, have received excellent feedback from fans. Since July, the Blackhawks iOS app has received over 100 five-star ratings.
